Affects On Geoshphere
Definition of Geosphere: All of the "Earth" on Earth.
One of the largest ways that ocean acidification can affect the geosphere is by destruction coral reefs. Coral reefs can make the ocean floor more stable, it's like on land when you plant a lot of tall grass in a sandy area it make it more stable. The cohesion of CO2 and H2O creates H2CO3, known as Carbolic Acid. This acid kill animals and coral reefs, which cause the geosphere in the ocean to become more unstable by loosening the ground. |
